Monday Mewsings...

Somehow, we missed posting last Monday (and Wednesday and Friday!) but that doesn't mean Kely and I were idle. I have been trying to keep up with my #BlogPaws Ambassador duties (mostly Tweeting and Re-Tweeting last week as I had a houseguest and didn't get much computer time in).

The weather here has been in the 60's, 70's and now 90's, so you'll be seeing more lakeside photos as well as Workin' Cat Kely pix...here she is singing an aria for her brunch!

And making sure that inventory is correct (and to her liking)...

And following the sun puddles around...

As well as making sure the Client Care staff gets some lovin', too!

And now for some R & R...

It's finally warming up here in NoVa, so Kely can enjoy lake side lounging again!

She spends most of her week days with me at work (at Just Cats Clinic) either napping, sunning or modeling one of her new frocks made by Anna M, one of the sweet assistants at JCC!

But it's at the end of the day that Kely gets to hop in her Red Furrari and wheeling around Lake Anne! 

                                       

And she gets to feel the warm breeze in her face and luxuriate in the sun...can't you just hear her say 'Ahhhhhh'?

Monday Mewsings

You might ask what Kely has been up to the last three weeks... and maybe even worried that since she is a grannie cat, that she maybe even crossed the bridge!

I apologize if I worried you! If you follow me on Facebook though, you would see the Week Day Kely photos of Kely at work with me and well, know that everything is fine!

Kely has been rather busy, having her Wellness Exam and Lab Work...all which were good for an almost 15 year old kitty! The Sub Q fluids she gets 3 x a week have kept her kidneys working well and the readings were just the same as a year ago!

I started her fluids early, before her kidney tests showed much change, and I hope that helps her stay with me a good long time, as it's a joy to see her enjoy her Golden Years! Just for you who like to know #'s, her BUN is 37 and her Creatinine 2.5. Of course, her urine SpG is very dilute at 1.020 but she hasn't had problems with UTI's, so all's good there, too.

And as the weather is trying to be Spring-like, with some days in the 70's and others in the 50's, Kely makes the most of the sun puddles at work, and here she is in the kitty playroom at Just Cats Clinic. We have also had a couple of days where we could sit out by Lake Anne, just like last year and of course, Kely enjoyed that!

And there's a new pet supply store right by the lake and Kely stops in to say hi and browse and try out some of the merchandise!

I'm sure Kely would like everyone to know that Life is Good AND that she has a new Instagram page and we'd love for you to follow her there

Monday Mewsings... from an old Showgirl!

A couple of weekends ago, Kely went to her first cat show in about 14 years! I thought she looked fantabulous in Coco's Pink Confection pageant gown!

Just like when she's at work with me, as long as she has a blankie and her Snuggle Safe, she's contented!

They were putting on Veteran's competition at this cat show and Kely competed with a 17 year old Black and White Persian and a 7 year old American Shorthair.

She tried to climb up onto the judges shoulders, hahameow!

So whether Kely is at a cat show or a cat clinic...She sure has style!

Monday Mewsings, Kely Works Hard and Plays Hard!

Everyone knows that Kely gets to go to work with me almost every day. And that she and Coco often share outfits (and fuzzy cat beds, too).

Kely gets her weekly weigh-in (5# 4 oz) and laser therapy for her lower back and hip arthritis...

And now that Spring is here and the weather soon will be lovely every day, instead of in between snow storms, Kely has had the chance to be outside after working all day and soaking up a few rays of sunshine beside Lake Anne...
