Kely gets many oppurrtunities to smell the flowers, when she gets to stroll around Lake Anne Plaza...
A few weeks ago, those pretty flowers that she decided to take a nibble on, caused a panic when I googled Moss Rose and found they were toxic to cats, dogs and horses, too!
A call to Animal Poison Control ensued, and it turned out that the 1/4 of a petal that she chewed on and possibly ate, was not enough to cause any problems...thank goodness!
When I am out on a walk with my human, she is always pulling me away from any plants she can't ID, which is most of them!
ReplyDeleteSummer, I'm so glad I had my phone with me (well, I always do when Kely's with me, hahameow--lots of photo ops) and could look up the flower right away...us cat moms are so protective!
DeleteKely is a beautiful cat! I know all about the emergency calls. My Jack Russell has sent me in panic more than once. Last time it was a grape. I knew they were toxic to dogs and was relieved to know one wasn't enough to harm her. It is good advice to know what might be harmful.
ReplyDeleteMelody, what a nice surprise to have a new visitor from the Hop! Oh yes, our furry kids do like to worry us! Of course I had to come and visit your little mischievous one and love your blog! I've added you to all the social media that I don't seem to have time to keep up with, but hope we keep running into each other!
DeleteVery good advice! You sure are a such pretty girl - enjoy the flowers!
ReplyDeleteThanks for Hoppin' by Kely's blog! We visited you and hopped on all your pages, too...so hope to keep up with your fun doggie life!
