#BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop: Smell the Flowers

Kely gets many oppurrtunities to smell the flowers, when she gets to stroll around Lake Anne Plaza...

A few weeks ago, those pretty flowers that she decided to take a nibble on, caused a panic when I googled Moss Rose and found they were toxic to cats, dogs and horses, too!

A call to Animal Poison Control ensued, and it turned out that the 1/4 of a petal that she chewed on and possibly ate, was not enough to cause any problems...thank goodness!

So, this post serves a dual purpose--Stop and Smell the Flowers, but make sure you know if they are harmful before you do! After all, it's also Pet Safety Month at BlogPaws! It's also Wednesday, so don't furget to Hop!

  1. When I am out on a walk with my human, she is always pulling me away from any plants she can't ID, which is most of them!

    1. Summer, I'm so glad I had my phone with me (well, I always do when Kely's with me, hahameow--lots of photo ops) and could look up the flower right away...us cat moms are so protective!

  2. Kely is a beautiful cat! I know all about the emergency calls. My Jack Russell has sent me in panic more than once. Last time it was a grape. I knew they were toxic to dogs and was relieved to know one wasn't enough to harm her. It is good advice to know what might be harmful.

    1. Melody, what a nice surprise to have a new visitor from the Hop! Oh yes, our furry kids do like to worry us! Of course I had to come and visit your little mischievous one and love your blog! I've added you to all the social media that I don't seem to have time to keep up with, but hope we keep running into each other!
