Since Kely dresses up at work, I thought it only appropriate that the Halloween Skeleton Cat dress up, too! 

At first, Kely didn't want to share her fountain with another 'cat', but she finally decided that she wasn't a Fraidy Cat, hahameow!

All of you who know Kely know she spends almost every day at work with me. Pretty much five days a week, with a 60 minute commute in the morning and 90 minutes at night. She's a purrfect traveler, pretty much naps while I try to stay awake, hahameow!

So before we make that trek home, we usually go outside and sit by Lake Anne for a bit, she sunning herself, me catching up on Facebook and Instagram. She wears a different outfit every day, much to the pleasure of everyone at work, and the clients at Just Cats Clinic, too.

With many late summer flowers still blooming, in spite of the heat, I found a lovely spot to take some pretty photos of Kely in her new frock. She looks sweet in frills, don't you think?!

She doesn't dress up when at home, but spends much of her time burrowed in her 'kitty sleeping bag' with a pet safe heating pad inside to make it extra cozy!

And she does like to join in the daily snack of dried Bonita flakes with the rest of the cat family! I order 3 giant bags for a great price here on Amazon, and I'm sure your kitties would purr if you purchased some for them, too!

And because the theme of this weeks BlogPaws Wordless Wednesday is New Horizons, I thought this photo of Kely and her famous daughter, Coco the Couture Cat would be appropriate, as I don't have many photos of them together actually...

I'd probably need an assistant to help me, but I'd love to do a series of photos of them together in fancy dresses, in Coco's Pink Catillac and maybe just curled up together, though Kely is a bit standoffish with the other cats...it's humans she loves to hang with the most!

How many kitties go to the vet, and have a party?? Well, Kely is the rare exception to cats hating to go to the vets, hahameow! And she is so loved there, that they threw her a party today to celebrate her Sweet 16 Birthday!

We missed posting on the actual National Ice Cream Day yesterday, but thought you'd like to see Kely wearing a fabulous hat that looks like an Ice Cream Sundae!

She was wearing a cute dress that coordinated with the hat perfectly, too! 

So sweet that she and her daughter, Coco the Couture Cat, can share outfits, as this was the one that Coco wore last weekend to the Ice Cream Social!

Wordless Wednesday #BlogPaws Style

Kely's been lovin' summer and the pretty flowers around Lake Anne Plaza sure make for some pretty picture taking! Just can't have her nibbling on them like she did last year, which gave me a scare...Now I keep a 'tight leash' on her when posing by posies!

As a Granny Cat, she does spend much of her day at work with me, napping in her heated bed behind the reception desk, periodically getting up to pee or have a sip at the fountain and perching on Genevieve's shoulders (Cornish Rex think of humans as Warm-Blooded furniture, hahameow!)

Kely just had her 6 month Senior Exam and lab work and she is very stable with her kidney values, which is great for an almost 16 year old kitty! Her IBD/lymphoma symptoms are gone, except for the fact I can't get her to put on weight even though she's got a good appetite.

No, this isn't her food, it's just a nice perch!

It's been almost a year since her Internal Medicine specialist visit, so we are going to try and reduce the meds she's on (prednisolone and metronidazole) from 3 x a week to twice a week and see how she does. If she remains stable, then we will keep her on twice a week meds long term. 

She still gets Adequan twice a month for her arthritis, and B12 once a month for the IBD, and periodically she gets some acupuncture for both health issues. And I'm loving the shampoo I started using on her a while back, Keto-Hex. She is a pretty yeasty girl, and he skin and fur have improved with bathing so she doesn't need weekly baths lately, twice a month is enough to keep her skin nice and smelling sweet. Though one of her favorite admirers loves her 'French Fry' scent, lol!
